Elhco, a leading company in metal coatings and a specialist in electroless nickel, attended the Advance Manufacturing 2024 Fair, and held on November 20-21, 2024, at the IFEMA venue in Madrid.
This prominent event, which encompasses the MetalMadrid, Composites, and Robomática Madrid areas, brought together more than 600 exhibitors and attracted over 14,000 professional visitors from around the world, establishing itself as a benchmark for innovation in the manufacturing industry within the metallurgical sector.

Additionally, Elhco participated in the technical session organized by AIAS (Association of Surface Finishing Industries), focused on “Smart Materials and Surfaces for the Railway Sector.” This forum presented advances in smart materials and various surface treatments applied to railway transportation, highlighting Elhco’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency in strategic sectors.

This project, now in its final validation stage, has explored the replacement of hexavalent hard chromium with more sustainable alternatives based on well-established electroless nickel technology, while proposing a new alternative with the industrial use of trivalent hard chromium.
